Why “Moonlight Strategy”?
Everyone asks, so here you have it:
In 1941 Kenneth Patchen wrote Albion Moonlight. Patchen’s collection of work is highly experimental, irreverent, honest, and original. He often presents a more objective view of the human experience, pushing on common beliefs and rejecting ideals of superiority.
His work and his legacy have imprinted me. While most of his work is nearly impossible for me to read, I identify with its imagination. Specifically, the urge to not accept things as they are, to explore sometimes ugly truths, to be curious about the human condition and to do it all with humor, love, and unabashed eccentricity.
I started Moonlight Strategy with those ideals in mind and a drive to help others break free from inertia and conditioning that leaves us feeling unfulfilled.
